HOW THE TIMES THEY ROLL.....

If I remember correctly, this is my first post since the new year began. I am not sure for what reason I have not kept up with my blog, but I am going to get back on it double time. I might even be a bit annoying to any followers I have out there...but I must do what I must do to make restitution with myself and my blogspot. I have new internet coming, and once it's arrival takes place I will be a mad machine loading pictures from January on. So until then I will just post this little tidbit as a shiny ray of hope that indeed Bananas on Demand will continue......

TIS' THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY

After a wonderful, but uncommonly swift Christmas Eve with the grandparents, the kids and I traveled home to get settled in for Santa's arrival. At about 6 a.m. I woke up to get everything glistening and melodic, then went upstairs to wake up two of my three sweethearts. They rushed downstairs and I was so thankful at their response to what was left for them. Savannah especially was pleased, because she did not expect much this year. I had bought her a phone she wanted the month before as one of her Christmas gifts, and made her understand that meant she would not have as much to open Christmas morning. But being the trickster that I am, I pulled a fast one on her! She had plenty to open, including the special colloge I lovingly made for her.

When we were all done with our presents it was time to go to Grandma Tracey's..this is always exciting as they have a deliciuos breakfast and mom always has everything so pretty with lots of great gifts..only one problem...THE SNOW!!! It was finally arranged that Ashley's boyfriend Tim would pick us up a few hours later and we would head out in the Surburban..once he arrived we all jumped in, scooped up Grandma Joyce and were on our way to the country Christmas that awiated us. I had a great time with my two sisters and the kids were again joyous and thankful for their gifts. However, with my situation, there is a tight schedule to be kept. We met Brett and Sydney at my house to exchange gifts. She was with us the night before, and that is always such a blessing. We had a great time watching old movies of the girls on Brett's camcorder that he hooked up to the TV...and then it was time for them to go to his moms. So all and all, Christmas again crept up and left me blissful, thankful, and pleased.

FROZEN DRIVEWAYS...YIPEE!

Before I caved and actually braved the cold, these two ingenious kids of mine riged up one of the sleds so that it could be pulled in the driveway outback...and it worked. They had a lot of fun, and then I went out in the front with them and caught them as they came down the hill..and before merging into oncoming traffic...gotta love the way we do things around here.

Basketball Diaries

Savannah participated in 5th grade basketball this year and did wonderfully. While she is built like a ballerina and was as graceful on the court as off, her athletic side shown through. She made several baskets throughout the short season, and did a great job running back and forth ont he court...those long legs can get her where she is trying to go...and fast!!! Can't wait till next year!

WE LOVE MINIATURE..TREES

I have never really had a big tree, and do so hope to someday..but this year I am surprisingly okay with my cute little tree perched in the dining room, and the kids seem to be to. Sydney, Vanny and Brock did some caroling around the tree amongst their other fun games, but if spontaneous caroling erupts around your miniature tree...you know you've done SOMETHING right. Can't wait till Christmas morning...I will wake up at like 6..put some yummies in the oven, make sure some cookies are eaten, fill the stockings, put presents round the tree, and last but most certainly not least start the Christmas music before sweetly waking them up to be filled with Christmas spirit..that is gift enough for me!
